Fraxel® laser treatment is a revolutionary non-surgical, facial rejuvenation technique. Overall, this laser procedure offers the patient a gentle, safe experience, even though each Fraxel® treatment has varying degrees of aggressiveness. Fraxel re:fine® is a prevention and maintenance procedure, treating fine lines around the eyes, age spots/sunspots, pigment irregularities and uneven skin tone. The Fraxel re:fine® laser treats mild to severe skin damage, which includes wrinkles around the eyes, acne scars, surgical scars, melasma, age spots/sunspots, and actinic keratoses. The downtime for each Fraxel® treatment is minimal, but varies – from a few days to a week. In general, treatment usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes. A topical anesthetic ointment is usually applied to reduce any discomfort.
